How to perform a deep cleaning?

A systematic and planned approach is necessary to achieve the best results. Otherwise, deep cleaning becomes a hectic job with no apparent effect.

Remove furniture, books, toys, and other items that may hinder the cleaning process. In addition, the items can be vacuumed and washed separately.

Living room

The living room is where most visitors and family members come and go. So if you’re going to tackle the most difficult part of the house, it’s probably best to start work in the living room.

Clean surfaces:

Take a multipurpose spray bottle and a microfiber cloth and wipe down a small table. Go to the entertainment area and wipe down the TV and all other appliances. Remember to stand behind the TV as much as possible. If it hangs on the wall, you can use a duster for the back. Also, remove books and jewelry from shelves and clean dirt from the backs and sides of the furniture.

Cleaning Sofas:

Sofas are frequently visited, from children to family members and friends stopping by to chat, so be sure to clean them thoroughly. Remove the cushions and clean the entire area. If the pillowcases can be opened, the machine washes them along with the blanket and pillowcases.

Then vacuum the rest of the sofa and the extensions. Remember to go between the cushions where crumbs can fall. When everything is done, put the cushions back on and fluff them. If you’re not sure how to clean your sofa, look at the label that came with it. It should tell you how to clean it safely.

Bedrooms

A perfectly cleaned bedroom ensures a restful night’s sleep. Vacuuming, mopping, washing, and scrubbing are necessary to ensure the cleanliness of the bedroom. Wall closets should be dusted, vacuumed, and cleaned after clothes are removed.

Kitchens

In the kitchen, appliances may need extra cleaning power. Prepare scrub brushes, soap, brushes, and baking soda for a thorough cleaning. And don’t forget to refer back to your cleaning checklist if they don’t clean properly.

Deep Cleaning the Stove Remove the lid from the stove burner

If it’s very dirty, you can make a strong cleaner using a 1:2 mixture of vinegar and baking soda. If the burner plate is also dirty, clean it with a non-abrasive sponge until it shines. Wipe the top of the cooktop with a damp cloth to remove all food residue.

If the stove is very dirty with grease, next take a mixture of baking soda and vinegar, spread it on the surface, and wait a few minutes. Wipe it off with a damp cloth. This will complete the process. Wash the burner cap in the sink and put it back on the cooktop. For glass cooktops, clean the surface with soap and a non-abrasive cloth.

Empty the refrigerator and clean the shelves

Unplug the refrigerator before you begin. Once this is done, remove all items and set them aside for now. Put a multipurpose spray on a microfiber cloth and wipe down the shelves. If the refrigerator has metal shelves, remove them, wash them in the sink and replace them. Wipe down the sides, top, and bottom.

For stubborn stains, scrub gently with a brush. Then clean the front and sides of the refrigerator with a microfiber cloth or sponge. Place the unit back in the refrigerator and plug in the cord, making sure it is completely dry.

Deep cleaning of Bathrooms

The bathroom may not get as much use as the living room or kitchen, but that doesn’t mean it won’t get just as dirty. Areas that aren’t normally cleaned can see a significant buildup of dirt and hot water stains. Sanitize as many surfaces as possible to prevent the spread of viruses and bacteria throughout the home.

Dust the walls Before you cover anything

it is advisable to dust the corners of the bathroom walls and the ceiling. Take a microfiber cloth and dust the walls and the bathroom. For the high areas of the ceiling and walls, take a stepladder or a long duster and gently move it across the ceiling while wiping. Items lying on the floor can be picked up while dusting or mopping.

Wash shower curtains and towels

Take down shower curtains, collect soiled towels and washcloths, and put them in the washing machine. If fabric curtains are mildewed, wash them with ½ cup of baking soda.

Clean sinks and counters

Clean doorknobs and faucet handle last, as they will be touched during the cleaning process. To clean drains, sprinkle baking soda down the drain, followed by vinegar. Wait a few minutes and rinse with hot water.
